    A very limited number of seats are available at the launch of the new meditation CD Breath: Meditation from the West of Ireland with Trea Heapes, Music by Luka Bloom.

    This is a free event, however, tickets are very limited and booking is required. If you regularly attend our meditation classes then you have already been counted as attending this event and do not need to book, otherwise please book below.

    The launch takes place in the Sanctuary on December 12th at 7.30pm.

    The launch includes guided meditation and music from Luka Bloom.

  • Mindful Parenting with Adie Clarke


    Parenting is a very difficult job. As well as joyful and rewarding it can be challenging and frustrating. Mindfulness makes the job easier and you can join Adie Clarke in the Sanctuary on her 4-week course tailor-made for parents.

  • Wednesday Morning 10am Mindful Hatha Yoga with Riana Walsh


    Our mindful meditation focuses on sensation, breath, sound, thoughts. Combined, these practices lead us towards connecting with our own innate resources to access a sense of ease and spaciousness as we engage with everyday life. The yoga Sutra: ‘Yoga chitta vritti nirodah’ – ‘yoga is the settling of the mind into silence’  is central and yoga philosophy and mindfulness themes are integrated throughout. Relaxation is an integral part of the class.

    Everybody is welcome to this class, with or without prior experience of yoga and meditation. Each class is an hour and a half in duration.

    Your Facilitator – Riana Walsh

    Riana completed a three-year classical Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Diploma with the Irish Yoga Association, followed by post grad trainings with the IYA, Yoga Therapy Ireland, and an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology.

    She has been teaching Yoga for many years, sees yoga as a lifetime exploration and combines her passion for yoga, travel and languages with yoga trainings in Ireland and abroad. Her on-going yoga studies and completed trainings in Anusara yoga, Yin Yoga, iRest Yoga Nidra, continue to inspire her experience of yoga as a way of being, of connection with self and the world.

    Mindfulness Practitioner Certificate and Compassion Based Living courses with the Mindfulness Association, have deepened her understanding of how mindfulness, yoga and Buddhist teachings are interwoven as life enhancing practices for the everyday. Her practice and study of Yin Yoga, iRest Yoga Nidra and

    Her teaching incorporates key themes and concepts from yoga philosophy, and at the heart of this mindful yoga practice is Yoga Sutra 1.2 ‘yoga chitta vritti nirodhah’ – ‘yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind’. So too is the inner and outer lightness and joy experienced when body, heart and mind are in harmony. Awareness of the breath is a constant reference point, enabling a sense of spaciousness and a balanced, grounded connection while we practice yoga as a gentle strength.

    This mindful Hatha yoga class caters for the physical uniqueness of each participant and provides a practice accessible to everybody.

  • Mindfully Waiting for Christmas


    Christmas is often associated as a pinnacle of joy and merriment. However, the time of waiting or the dark nights of December that lead us into the light of celebration are a wonderful opportunity to drop into stillness and prepare mindfully, peacefully and lovingly for the wonder of the season.

    Join us at the Sanctuary on Saturday 15th December for a mindful morning of practice amidst the hustle and bustle of this time of year.

    This half-day event begins at 10am and lasts until 1pm.

    Mince pies and refreshments will be served as part of the morning.
