In this mindful Hatha yoga, Wednesday evening class participants are introduced to breath awareness practices and the experience of stillness. Yoga postures and sequences are practiced with awareness as we connect mind, body and heart in the present moment.

In this mindful yoga class participants are introduced to breath awareness practices and the experience of stillness; Yoga postures and sequences are practiced with awareness as we connect mind, body and heart in the present moment; Mindful meditation focuses on breath, sound, thought, sensation, and relaxation is also an integral part of the class.

These practices lead us towards connecting with our own innate resources to access a sense of calmness and spaciousness as we engage with everyday life.

The yoga Sutra: ‘Yoga chitta vritti nirodah’ – ‘yoga is the settling of the mind into silence’ is central and yoga philosophy and mindfulness themes are integrated throughout.

Everybody is welcome to this class, with or without prior experience.
