This 4-day journaling retreat, at the Sanctuary, is based on the Intensive Journal method, developed by Ira Progff, an integrated system of writing exercises. These are designed to allow you access and work with your experiences and feelings so you gain awareness about your life and where the Spirit is leading.

The retreat leader, Fr Korko Moses, will guide you step-by-step in an atmosphere of privacy, silence and reflection.Intensive Journaling helps you gain insights into your personal relationships, career and special interest, your health and the meaning of your life. It also gives you fresh approaches to access your creative capacities and untapped possibilities.

This is largely a self-guided retreat, set out in different sessions throughout the four days. We start and end with a period of silent meditation. Then we sit and write together as a group, but there is no personal sharing, no individual guidance, no specific rituals, just you and your pen and paper.

The retreat is open to all. You do not have to be a good writer – only you see your own work. No one will judge you or analyse your experience.
