With Carolin Grampp,  this 8 week Mindful Self Compassion  (MSC) course is designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. It is based on the research of Kristin Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer. It teaches core principles and practices which enable us to respond to difficult moments in our lives with kindness, care and understanding. Each session is 3 hours in duration with a full day of practice on October 29th.

Self-compassion can be learned by anyone. It is a courageous attitude that stands up to harm, including the harm that we unwittingly inflict on ourselves through self-criticism, self-isolation, or self-absorption. Self-compassion provides emotional strength and resilience and is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety, depression and stress.

No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation is required to attend the course.

To ensure safety, participants are asked to provide background information and to complete a form when they register. Forms are available from Sanctuary Reception on 01 6705419 or email enquiries@santuary.ie.
