8 Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction With Ailish Jameson
Starting on Monday 15th January from 6.30 – 9pm.
This is an 8 week course (2.5 hours per week) with one full day (10am-4pm) between weeks 6 and 7. The course aims to assist you in taking better care of yourself and in getting more out of living. Many people completing the programme report lasting physical and psychological benefits including: An increased ability to relax and experience calm and an increased ability to cope more effectively with both short and long term stressful situations.

Lunch to share on the full day of mindfulness
Ailish holds a MA (Research) and a BA (Honours) in Applied Social Studies in Social Care from the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB). Her Masters explored cultural inclusion in primary education. She is currently undertaking a PhD examining emotional intelligence, education and employment. Ailish is EQ-I 2.0 and EQ 360 certified. She has lectured in ITB and DCU teaching modules in Personal and Professional Development, Project Management and Creative Instructional Design. Ailish is particularly interested in exploring the use of social and emotional learning in the workplace with a particular emphasis on preparation of standard and non-standard students for work. She has extensive experience in this field and has worked as a Trainer on Department of Social Protection and SOLAS programmes for individuals who are long-term unemployed. Currently, she is completing teacher training in the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)/Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) programmes with the Institute for Mindfulness Based Approaches (IMA) in Germany, in association with the Sanctuary, Dublin. Ailish is a qualified ‘.b’ (dot b) Trainer with the Mindfulness in Schools Project which offers mindfulness based programmes in second level schools.
