Course Outline

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

 – Howard Thurman, Author and Philosopher

Passion is the life force that drives us on. Our happiness depends, to a large degree, on how much we are able to live out our passions and do what truly inspires us. How our childhood passions unfold as we grow up determines who we become as adults. Those around us can either help or hinder in this process, allowing some of our passions to thrive while others remain buried or frustrated.

Over the course of six weeks, ‘Writing Your Passion’ will lead you through a series of writing exercises to explore what you are passionate about and the life events and social context that have embedded that passion within you. The course is suitable for new and accomplished writers.

It will explore both the potential of writing as a means to discover your passion, and the use of passion as a source of inspiration for your ongoing journey as a writer.
