Choden is a Tibetan Buddhist monk of the Kagyu lineage who has spent many years teaching secular mindfulness for the Mindfulness Association and the University of Aberdeen.
One of Choden’s main focuses when teaching mindfulness is the importance of compassion. In fact, together with Prof. Paul Gilbert, he coauthored the book Mindful Compassion.
On Friday evening, October 25th, Choden will be giving an evening talk on the importance of compassion within mindfulness training. He will then give a one day workshop in the Sanctuary on Saturday, October 26th.
