Heartfelt and Joyful
a retreat with practices of loving kindness, gratitude and gladness.
In this silent retreat, we reflect on what is good and happy in our lives, and on what is more challenging.
In an atmosphere of mindfulness and kindness, we cultivate wishing ourselves and others happiness and well-being (Loving Kindness), and sharing the joy when things are going well, for ourselves and for others.
In this way, we cultivate closer connections, harmony and peacefulness, learning to feel calm and contented in the midst of our every-day hectivity.
Marjó Oosterhoff will be facilitating this retreat. She is manager and resident teacher of Passaddhi Retreat Centre in West Cork (see www.passaddhi.com). She has been practising mindfulness and loving kindness meditation for many years, and in 1995 was authorised by her teachers to teach retreats in the West.
In her teaching style Marjó emphasises that there is nothing we need to add to or take away from what is already here. She will gently guide the participants to a place of compassionate awareness.
This retreat will be suitable for beginners and non-beginners, for people of all religious backgrounds or none, and offers an introduction to mindfulness and compassion practices, and a deepening for those who already practise meditation, in whatever form.
Saturday and Sunday, June 29th/30th from 10am -4pm
