A Day of Meditation and Self Kindness

Course Description: A day of practice for Valentine’s where we will explore self-kindness and self- care. We might even empower ourselves through move towards being, what Tara Brach calls, both ‘the holder and the held’. We can be our own Valentine!


We will have the opportunity to spend time in and out of silence as we dip into both sitting and movement practices that work with the Vagus Nerve to soften and soothe; cultivate gentle awareness through stillness and move towards extending a compassionate embrace towards ourselves as we tend and befriend all that lies within. The day will be led by Jane Negrych, the Managing Director of The Sanctuary. Jane leads the Monday Morning Community Meditation sessions, as well as teaching on the MBLC Teacher Training, the Being Present In-depth Mindfulness training.
