Meet Andrea Boudin
Andrea Boudin came to yoga in 1995, in an attempt to relieve symptoms of severe long-standing post-traumatic-stress disorder. The gentle yoga movements and breathing exercises helped her to gradually reconnect with the sensations in her body, and to relieve depression and anxiety issues. Experiencing the profound healing effects that yoga has on her whole being, she developed a desire to carry the benefits of yoga to others.
In 2005 she embarked on her first yoga teacher training at the Elbowroom/Dublin in the Ashtanga tradition with Anto Kearns (200 hours, Yoga Alliance Accredited). Several years of intensive teacher trainings and workshops followed, Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training Basic level (200hours RYS) and Advanced level (200 hours RYS Registered Yoga School) under Dave Curtis.
Further, she attended week-long courses in Germany, Ireland and in India, with renowned and well-respected yoga teachers such as Patthabi Jois, Chuck Miller and Maty Ezrati, Nancy Gilgoff, Ana Forrest, to name but a few. She has completed additional training in Pilates matwork (CThA approved course), Reiki, EFT, Shadow yoga, Somatic Movement Education, Yin Yoga, Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique, to complement her yoga competency. She also has a strong background in Western philosophy, which gives Andrea a unique ability to explain the spiritual, mental, and physical aspects of yoga with creativity and clarity.
