Training to Teach
Sharing the Practice

For Train to Teach Mindfulness/Meditation to adults, we have the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC). For more information on this 8 week Mindfulness Based Intervention that is taught out of the University of Aberdeen MSc: Studies in Mindfulness and the Mindfulness Association UK, click here.
For Train to Teach Mindfulness/Meditation to youth and children, we have the Sanctuary’s Warrior Programme, a mindfulness based programme for youth between the ages of 11-15 and our Mindfulness in Schools Programmes (MiSP), Train to Teach .b (for youth aged 11-18) and Train to Teach Paws b (for children aged 7-11).
Please see our Programmes for Schools page for more information.
Train to Teach the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC)
The Sanctuary offers a comprehensive teacher training pathway that follows and adheres to BAMBA. The MBLC is recognised as an eight week course in the UK Good Practice Guidelines and those trained to teach it are eligible to join the UK Listing of Mindfulness Teachers.
If you have completed the Sanctuary’s ‘Being Present’ course or the Mindfulness Association’s Level 1 Being Present course, or have completed the first year of the University of Aberdeen’s MSc: Studies in Mindfulness programme, you can join the teacher training pathway at the Introduction to Teaching Skills weekends.
