The evenings are getting shorter and the days are getting cooler and all of us here at the Sanctuary are busy getting ready for our Autumn schedule. Make sure to check out our mindfulness courses:
Yoga at the Sanctuary
Our regular yoga courses at the Sanctuary begin again this September. Choose from courses with Riana Walsh or Andrea Boudin and choose between 6 week and 8 week long courses.
Yoga with Andrea, Wed Sept 4th to October 23rd, 6pm to 7.15pm each Wednesday. 8-week course.
Yoga with Andrea, Wed Sept 4th to October 23rd, 7.30pm to 8.45pm each Wednesday. 8-week course.
Yoga with Riana, Fri Sept 6th to October 25th, 10am to 11.15am each Friday. 8-week course.
Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation
Mindfulness has been shown to improve resilience and increase well-being; as well as decrease stress, anxiety and recurrent depression. Moreover, training in mindfulness can create the conditions to really flourish in life.
This 3 week introduction to mindfulness and meditation course provides a taste of mindfulness and offers participants the chance to dip their toe in the practices of breath meditation, meditating on the senses, body scan, walking meditation, and eating meditation.
Date & Time: Monday Sept 6th – Sept 20th, 7pm – 8.30pm each Monday.
Mindful Half Days at the Sanctuary
Description: Throughout the year these half-days provide an opportunity to nurture and strengthen the energy of mindfulness and the practice of meditation in the company of others through sitting and walking meditation, all in the beautiful and tranquil surroundings of the Sanctuary garden.
Saturday September 21st from 9am – 1pm. Mindfulness morning at the Sanctuary, all are welcome. Price: €30
Saturday September 21st from 2pm – 5.30pm. Mindfulness afternoon of practice at the Sanctuary, all are welcome. Price: €30
Daily Meditation Practice Sessions at the Sanctuary
Join us at the Sanctuary any weekday for a 30 minute guided meditation session.
We offer three regular meditation practices each day: Awakening Practice (9am); Midday Practice (1.15pm), and Sunset Practice (6pm) Please note the sunset practice will take place only on Monday evenings during July and August, all in the beautiful and tranquil setting of the Sanctuary in Dublin 7.
The sessions are led by an experienced practitioner and are perfect for anyone looking to begin a practice or looking to make their existing practice more regular, the sessions cost just €5 each.
The Mindful Warrior 2019
The Sanctuary is now offering a training course for those who work with young people to enable them to deliver our Mindful Warrior Programme in their own school or centre.

The Mindfulness In Schools Project Returns For 2019
The UK based Mindfulness in Schools Project’s vision is that every child possesses the skills to help them manage difficulty and flourish, and an understanding of how and when to use those skills.
The Sanctuary is delighted to have been working in partnership with the UK based MiSP (Mindfulness in Schools Project) over the past number of years, bringing the teacher trainer for mindfulness-based .b [dot-be] programme for 11-18 year olds to Ireland.

Our Mindful Half Days For 2019 Are Online
These half days of reflection, meditation and mindfulness are led by an experienced facilitator, trained in mindfulness.
Throughout the year these half-days provide an opportunity to nurture and strengthen the energy of mindfulness and the practice of meditation in the company of others.
As mindful eating is an integral part of the day, the Sanctuary will provide a light snack (tea and coffee, fruit and cheese).
The Cuan Programme
Thursday February 1st saw the start of The Cuan Programme, formally known as The Jigsaw Programme.
The CUAN programme and activities at the Sanctuary are underway. As the garden changes and evolves, the Cuan Programme formerly known as the Jigsaw Programme has been developing, changing and is now back in full swing. In fact, we have changed the name of the programme to reflect the new expanded offering.
