Mindful Half Days at the Sanctuary


Description: Throughout the year these half-days provide an opportunity to nurture and strengthen the energy of mindfulness and the practice of meditation in the company of others through sitting and walking meditation, all in the beautiful and tranquil surroundings of the Sanctuary garden.

Saturday July 27th from 9am – 1pm for absolute beginners and those just beginning to develop a practice. Price: €30

Saturday July 27th from 2pm – 5.20pm for those with an exisiting practice, the day includes extended periods of silence. Price: €30

½ Day of Yoga Practice with Andrea Boudin


This ‘yoga at the Sanctuary’ 1/2 day encourages an understanding of the structures and mechanisms of the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual body through a joyful, gentle slow exploration of the abilities of the body, forgotten movements and sensations. Once participants have settled into their own physicality, there will be an opportunity for an exploration of the subtleties of the breath, and inviting moments of inner stillness in meditation.

The Mindful Way Through Cancer


Has your life been impacted by cancer? In the past? Now? Worry and uncertainty about the future? It can be a difficult time, even years afterwards to work through these struggles. The Sanctuary is here to offer a space to explore a mindful path through these challenging life experiences. Mindfulness has the potential to address many concerns including uncertainty about the future, stress, low mood, anger, unpleasant physical symptoms such as fatigue, pain, and sleep disturbance. This four week course will explore these areas.

4 Week Course: Tuesday Evenings; 6th August – 27th August. 7:00pm – 8:30pm. Price: €75

Mindfulness for Care Givers and those working in Social Care


Working in any of the caring professions, or indeed, caring for loved ones at home can be incredibly rewarding. Often times, job diversity and the ability to bring joy and make big differences in the lives of others are a source of deep personal satisfaction.

However, unless caregivers take good care of themselves, and are able to fill their own cup so that they can fill the cup of others, compassion fatigue, emotional exhaustion and even depression can set in.

Thursday, August 8th from 10am- 4pm. Price €50

Daily Meditation Practice Sessions at the Sanctuary


Join us at the Sanctuary any weekday for a 30 minute meditation session.

We offer three regular meditation practices each day: Awakening Practice (9am); Midday Practice (1.15pm), and Sunset Practice (6pm) Please note the sunset practice will take place only on Monday evenings during July and August, all in the beautiful and tranquil setting of the Sanctuary in Dublin 7.

The sessions are led by an experienced practitioner and are perfect for anyone looking to begin a practice or looking to make their existing practice more regular, the sessions cost just €5 each.

The Mindful Warrior 2019



The Sanctuary is now offering a training course for those who work with young people to enable them to deliver our Mindful Warrior Programme in their own school or centre.

The Mindfulness In Schools Project Returns For 2019

The UK based Mindfulness in Schools Project’s vision is that every child possesses the skills to help them manage difficulty and flourish, and an understanding of how and when to use those skills.

The Sanctuary is delighted to have been working in partnership with the UK based MiSP (Mindfulness in Schools Project) over the past number of years, bringing the teacher trainer for mindfulness-based .b [dot-be] programme for 11-18 year olds to Ireland.

Our Mindful Half Days For 2019 Are Online


These half days of reflection, meditation and mindfulness are led by an experienced facilitator, trained in mindfulness.

Throughout the year these half-days provide an opportunity to nurture and strengthen the energy of mindfulness and the practice of meditation in the company of others.

As mindful eating is an integral part of the day, the Sanctuary will provide a light snack (tea and coffee, fruit and cheese).


The Cuan Programme

Thursday February 1st saw the start of The Cuan Programme, formally known as The Jigsaw Programme.

The CUAN programme and activities at the Sanctuary are underway. As the garden changes and evolves, the Cuan Programme formerly known as the Jigsaw Programme has been developing, changing and is now back in full swing. In fact, we have changed the name of the programme to reflect the new expanded offering.
