Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation

This three week course provides a taste of mindfulness and offers participants the chance to dip their toe in the practices of breath meditation, meditating on the senses, body scan, and walking meditation.

This course is perfect for beginners looking to learn about Mindful living and meditation.

Monday Evenings from 7-8.30pm starting on Dec.2nd-16th for 3 weeks.

The Festival of Winter Wonder

From all of us at the Sanctuary, we would like to invite you to take some time for yourself and join us at our Festival of Winter Wonder: “A Magical Evening of Mindfulness & Music”.

Through the wonder of music and words, and the practice of quiet meditation, we hope to provide the opportunity to touch in with some stillness and maybe even joy! as we face the merry month of December.

Mindfully Waiting for Christmas with Sr. Stan

Christmas is often associated as a pinnacle of joy and merriment. However, the time of waiting or the dark nights of December that lead us into the light of celebration are a wonderful opportunity to drop into stillness and prepare mindfully, peacefully and lovingly for the wonder of the season.

Join us at the Sanctuary on Saturday 7th December for a mindful moment of practice amidst the hustle and bustle of this time of year.

This half-day event begins at 10am and lasts until 1pm.

Mince pies and refreshments will be served as part of the morning.

Sound Baths at the Sanctuary

Description: The Sanctuary is offering a variety of sound focused healing workshops during September & October. These include Sound Bath Meditations, Explore your Healing Voice, and Community Drumming experiences.

Sound Baths: Fri December 13th, 6.45pm – 7.45pm

Healing Voice: Fri December 13th, 8pm – 9pm

Yoga & Tai Chi

We have both Yoga and Tai Chi classes starting over the next couple of months at the Sanctuary, including Yoga with Andrea Boudin and Tai Chi with Declan Mills.

Tai Chi: Fri 17th Jan – Fri 28th Feb, 2.30pm – 3.30pm

Yoga with Andrea: Wed 8th Jan – Wed 26th Feb, 7pm – 8.15pm

Yoga with Riana: Fri 10th Jan- Fri 28th Feb, 10.00am – 11.15am

The Mindful Half Day

These half days of reflection, meditation and mindfulness are led by an experienced facilitator, trained in mindfulness.

Throughout the year these half-days provide an opportunity to nurture and strengthen the energy of mindfulness and the practice of meditation in the company of others.

As mindful eating is an integral part of the day, the Sanctuary will provide a light snack (tea and coffee, fruit and cheese).

Daily Meditation Practice Sessions at the Sanctuary

Join us at the Sanctuary on weekdays for one of our 30 minute guided meditation session.

We offer three regular meditation practices each day: Awakening Practice (9am); Midday Practice (1.15pm), and Sunset Practice (6pm), all in the beautiful and tranquil setting of the Sanctuary in Dublin 7 Please note the sunset practice will take place only on Monday evenings at the Sanctuary and online via Zoom every second Wednesday evening.

The sessions are led by an experienced practitioner and are perfect for anyone looking to begin a practice or looking to make their existing practice more regular, the sessions cost just €5 each.

The Mindful Warrior 2020

The Sanctuary is now offering a training course for those who work with young people to enable them to deliver our Mindful Warrior Programme in their own school or centre.

The Mindfulness In Schools Project 2020

The UK based Mindfulness in Schools Project’s vision is that every child possesses the skills to help them manage difficulty and flourish, and an understanding of how and when to use those skills.

The Sanctuary is delighted to have been working in partnership with the UK based MiSP (Mindfulness in Schools Project) over the past number of years, bringing the teacher trainer for mindfulness-based .b [dot-be] programme for 11-18 year olds to Ireland.

The Cuan Programme

The Cuan Programme, formally known as The Jigsaw Programme.

The CUAN programme and activities at the Sanctuary are underway. As the garden changes and evolves, the Cuan Programme formerly known as the Jigsaw Programme has been developing, changing and is now back in full swing. In fact, we have changed the name of the programme to reflect the new expanded offering.
