The Sanctuary is a registered charity dedicated to personal well-being, mindfulness, and contemplation. Founded in 1998 by Sr. Stan Kennedy and Síle Wall, it continues to support individuals on their life journey through meditation and reflection.

Our weekly donation-based Guided Peace Walks at the Sanctuary begin on April 24th at 2pm, offering a meaningful space to pause, reflect, and connect with the values of peace, compassion, and social awareness. Inspired by the vision of our founder, Sister Stan, these walks are rooted in her lifelong commitment to justice, inclusion, and the quiet but powerful act of showing up for one another.
Open to all, regardless of background or experience, the Guided Peace Walks operate on a donation basis to ensure accessibility while supporting the ongoing work of the Sanctuary.
No need to pre-register, just show up on the day.

Therapeutic Yoga is rooted in the Polyvagal Theory by Dr. Stephen Porges. It weaves the traditional teachings of yoga with the understanding of the vagus nerve, which plays a central role in our emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.

Mindfully exploring the natural world to better yourself

A 6-week onsite programme with 5 facilitators exploring different embodied practices which provide access to one's inner landscape.
At The Sanctuary, we provide a range of meditation, mindfulness, and well-being programs designed to support personal growth and inner peace. Whether you're new to meditation or deepening your practice, our offerings create a space for reflection, renewal, and connection.

Courses are usually run on weekday mornings or evenings (online or onsite) over a number of weeks. The courses are designed to deliver in-depth knowledge of the subject in a meaningful way.

The Sanctuary offers professional development courses for educators and those training to become mindfulness teachers, both in schools and other organisations.

Workshops are once off sessions rather than part of a series. These events are a good introduction to various types of mindfulness. They are perfect for beginners and for people looking to try something new.

Community is integral to the Sanctuary. Creating a space where everyone is welcome to join in and to enjoy different types and styles of meditation. We have weekly onsite and online meditations.
The Sanctuary has evolved organically over the years to include mindfulness programmes for schools, programmes for carers and those working in the frontline services of society. Moreover, it offers tailored programmes for commercial organisations, charities, workplaces and management teams. All our courses are inspired by a deep and heartfelt wish and mission to nourish personal growth for greater social impact, ultimately helping to create a more resilient and just society.
