Volunteering at The Sanctuary
Volunteers have always played an essential role in the life of the Sanctuary.
Garden volunteers: Since 2001 volunteers have been involved in maintaining The Sanctuary garden spaces. They contribute hugely in keeping all our outdoor spaces beautiful, calm and welcoming, all year-round.
Befriending volunteers: Befriending people with a mental health need, in assisted living accommodation in the local area, is an integral part of the Sanctuary’s outreach programme. Many volunteers have been offering regular time, support and friendship since 2009. Volunteers say they receive more than they give.
