Exploring Masculinity through Irish Mythology
The Sanctuary’s 2026 Spring Men’s Programme integrating mindful movement, meditation, myth and discussion. Join us for a guided 5-week journey into presence, purpose, and connection.
We are living in an increasingly distracted society that does not value the power of myth in its ability to enliven and transform. Very few of us have ancient stories to turn to and return to when times are tough. This programme seeks to remind men of this vital resource in a safe and respectful environment.
Each session will weave Qigong inspired physical practice with contemplative stillness, drawing on ancient Irish stories and archetypes to explore modern themes of identity, resilience, relationships, and meaning. Through shared reflection and respectful dialogue, participants are invited to listen deeply, to themselves and to others, as we collectively tap into the wisdom and honesty of the group.
In an increasingly disembodied world, this programme encourages men to connect with their bodies, with their hearts, and to the stories that countless men before have taken refuge in.
Grounded, reflective, and experiential, this programme offers a space to slow down, engage honestly, and rediscover a sense of balance, strength, and belonging in everyday life.
