Our weekly donation-based Guided Peace Walks at the Sanctuary begin on April 24th at 2pm, offering a meaningful space to pause, reflect, and connect with the values of peace, compassion, and social awareness. Inspired by the vision of our founder, Sister Stan, these walks are rooted in her lifelong commitment to justice, inclusion, and the quiet but powerful act of showing up for one another.

Each walk invites participants to move gently through the surrounding environment, creating an opportunity to step away from the busyness of daily life and into a shared rhythm of presence and intention. Along the way, guided reflections, readings, and moments of silence will encourage participants to consider both personal and collective pathways to peace. The experience is not about distance or pace, but about awareness—of ourselves, each other, and the wider world.

Sister Stan believed that peace is not passive; it is something we actively nurture through our choices, our relationships, and our willingness to engage with social issues. These walks honor that belief by blending contemplation with a subtle call to action, encouraging participants to carry the spirit of the walk into their everyday lives.

Open to all, regardless of background or experience, the Guided Peace Walks operate on a donation basis to ensure accessibility while supporting the ongoing work of the Sanctuary. Whether you come seeking quiet reflection, community connection, or inspiration for social change, you are warmly welcome.

Join us each week as we walk together—grounded in purpose, guided by compassion, and inspired by a vision of a more peaceful and just world.
