Modern Spirituality: Foundation Course

10 Weeks Online | One Evening a Week | Live on Zoom

Overview

In a restless and fast-changing world, many feel the call to something deeper — a way of living that reconnects meaning, mindfulness, and the sacred.
This 10-week foundation course invites participants into a grounded exploration of modern spirituality: an inclusive, experiential path of self-discovery and soul nourishment that speaks to contemporary life while honouring ancient wisdom.

Structure

  • Format:     Live online via Zoom
  • Schedule:     One evening per week (2 hours)
  • Group size: Limited for depth and connection
  • Certification: Certificate of Attendance (or CPD Certificate with reflective journal submission)

Weekly Themes

Week 1 — Entering the Castle
An introduction to the landscape of modern spirituality. We explore what“ spirit” means beyond belief — as direct experience, awareness, and connection. Opening meditation and circle sharing.

Week 2 — The Spiritual Field
Learning to rest in presence. Mindfulness and ritual as gateways to wholeness. Meeting the challenges of distraction, resistance, and doubt with compassion.

Week 3 — The Inner Journey
Exploring the self as layered: personal, transpersonal, and universal. Understanding ego as a necessary vessel for awakening, not an enemy.

Week 4 — Facing Death, Embracing Life
Contemplating mortality as a source of wisdom. Reflective writing (“my eulogy exercise”) and guided meditation on impermanence and meaning.

Week 5 — The Stages of Life
Mapping our spiritual autobiography. Returning to the child, the adolescent, the adult, and the elder within — offering each a voice and a blessing.

Week 6 — The Soul’s Seasons
Recognising cycles of loss, renewal, and transformation. Practising surrender and creative faith in times of change.

Week 7 — From Tomb to Womb
Entering the mystery of rebirth — connecting with the Earth, the body, and the cosmic feminine. Healing through imagination and embodiment.

Week 8 — Spiritual Wellbeing
Co-creating simple rituals for daily life. Integrating mindfulness, contemplation, and sacred attention into ordinary routines.

Week 9 — The Inner Monastery
Discovering the sanctuary within — a quiet centre from which to live and serve. Cultivating silence, gratitude, and gentle discipline.

Week 10 — Integration & Blessing
Review and celebration. Participants share insights, practices, and commitments for continuing their spiritual path. Closing meditation and group reflection.
