At its core, mindfulness practice is about noticing what is, moment by moment. When you can notice that you are about to react to a stressful situation in a way that is not helpful for you, take a pause: you have already opened up more options. This includes being able to return more quickly to a steady, calmer place. From this place you can respond more effectively to what life throws at you.
In this half day, we will explore what makes us ‘see red’ and how simple mindfulness-based practices such as noticing and pausing can help us ‘go green’ and be more in the flow of life, moment by moment.
You will leave with some practical exercises and strategies that you can use in everyday situations.
Some knowledge of mindfulness practice is helpful but not essential.
