Aromatherapy is a therapy using natural scents to promote and maintain our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. One of the best ways to apply natural scents in our everyday life are essential oils. Essential oils have been used by many cultures such as Egyptian or Indians for thousands of years in many different ways: for an embalming process, to maintain hygiene, prevention against epidemics, as a perfumes, as an antiseptic and antibacterial agents, as an external applications for wounds and pains and many more.

Perception of smells is very closely connected with our emotions. Specific scents could evoke particular emotion in a split of a second! How does it work? Volatile particles of essential oils travel to our brain through the capillaries in our nose as an electric impulse. These impulses reach the area of our brain called amygdala – a centre that processes our emotions such as fear, motivation, love ,grief, stress…

If you’d like to master your emotional response, reduce your stress and anxiety, boost your memory and concentration, learn about therapeutic effects of essential oils and floral waters, join our workshop.

I will introduce 7 Essential Oils on a monthly basis. We’ll smell them, use them as a meditation tool and finish our evening with a combination of scent and sound therapy. You are welcome to bring a journal or some paper and a pen with you on the evening to take some notes during the workshop, if you wish. You might also like to bring an eye mask for the sound bath, but it is not necessary if you do not have one.
